These are a number of examples of narration and interaction, ranging from very narrative driven to the higly interactive, from the closed to the open.

The fast paced action sequences from Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) is an extreme example of narrative driven and closed; as a viewer, even your gaze is controlled so that you intuitively know where to look when the shots are coming very quickly.

The tablet game Smash Hit let the player smash glass. But, even though it is a game, it is actually quite linear, and the player can only do one thing... smash.

This is Rymdlust, an interactive movie with a simple branching structure, created by Thommy Eriksson for the science center Universeum. This is a segment of the full experience, which was about 25 minutes.

Telltale Games are making interactive stories, or games, for exampel this The Walking Dead game. It is a quite linear story that doesn't branch that much, instead the choices made during the experience affect what happens later.

Plague Inc. is an example of a simulator based game, where the player steers a virus spreading and killing humans. By making changing in the virus DNA the player changes the simulation, and learn about how virus spread.

Grand Theft Auto is - together with for example The Sims and Sim City - one of the most wellknown and debated sand box games, highly based on a simulation and on artificial intelligence non-player characters. It offers the player a very high degree of freedom to move around, blow-up stuff, and either follow the storyline or explore.
