Lecture with Matteo De Donà (room A319)

In this lecture we look at global climate governance through the lens of science and knowledge. In particular, we focus on the science-policy dynamics of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Among other things, we pay attention to how climate adaptation is framed and understood at the global level. Finally, we also trace a parallel with the experience of the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), often labeled as the ‘IPCC for biodiversity’. After the lecture we will have a brief discussion on the challenges of providing scientific advice at the international level.
