In today's lecture we will closely examine some of the key concepts discussed in The Land of Open Graves. These include: Prevention Through Deterrence (PTD), the Hybrid Collectif, Bare Life/Zones of Exception, and Necropower/Necroviolence.

We will also briefly look at the four-field approach in anthropology (i.e., archaeology, cultural, linguistic and physical anthropology), and how the concept of "culture" was a key part of these developments.
