This lecture will focus on aspects that cause and impact migration from the perspectives of drivers, aspirations and desires. We will talk about how these perspectives relate to each other and how we can understand migrants’ own agency as part of shaping migration. Further, the lecture will discuss how these various aspects bear political consequences that impact migrants’ lives and im/mobility.
