In this lecture, we will introduce the course.

Following that we will ask the question: how do we begin to think about the world? What can we learn through starting with questions about global politics? What can the use of Ilustrative examples help us see (and not see)? What are some of the different ways that can enable us to respond to (painful, difficult) realities of the world? What assumptions do we start from? What pictures of the world do we see/produce/reproduce? How can we read the different texts of Global politics? How do ethics and politics interrelate? What does it mean to think critically?

Please come prepared by reading the introductory texts noted below.
