If the HRBA begins with the 'rule of law' (i.e. human rights standards) then it is important that we understand what human rights standards require. In this session we will look at the right to health specifically, and the various other human rights that are related to it. We will discuss:

Sources and content of the right to health (where does it come from, what does it mean?)

Accountability mechanisms (which relate to global health governance)

Linkage between the right to health and other human rights, and why this matters for governance of health issues
