Course syllabus
The course is held between 18 January 2021 - 24 March 2021
Hello everybody.
Welcome and thank you for joining this course. We will explore a fascinating set of themes, debates, concepts, and case studies over the next three months. The structure of the course is very straight-forward with a specific theme for each week (which then comprises two lectures and a seminar). Apart from your inputs into the weekly seminars, there will be an individual essay at the very end of the course (24 March). The whole course will be online (zoom) and all sessions start on the hour (so 13:00 means 1 o'clock, not a quarter past). During the first lecture (18 January, 1 PM on zoom) we will give you an overview of the course's substance, logistics and expectations. You can find all information about the lectures and assignments under "Modules". Do drop us a line if any questions arise.

Online Teaching
Our main tools for online teaching are Canvas and Zoom. Download and get acquainted with Zoom before the first lecture, according to the instructions here: https://studentportal.gu.se/english/e-services/zoom
If you have the need to record a lecture you need to ask the teacher and fellow students for permission. It is up to each teacher to decide if their Zoom lecture should be recorded and available afterwards.

About Canvas and the Student Portal
Schedule, syllabus and reading list will be published here at the syllabus page before the course starts. You will access the other pages once you have registered for the course. Most courses will use the function Modules to navigate the course content. For information on how to use Canvas, please look at the Canvas guides or contact Servicecenter for support.
