GV0415 V21 Geovetenskapligt examensarbete
Välkommen till kursen GV0415 Geovetenskapligt examensarbete, 15 hp, vt21
The schedule is preliminary up to two weeks before the start of the course.
Before the start of this course you need to have the following:
1. a project
2. an advisor
3. an examiner (chosen and asked by your advisor)
4. an Individual Project Plan (see word or pdf file in 'Filer') approved and signed by you, your advisor, your examiner, and the curse leader (Mark Johnson)
5. a project description. This can be in Swedish or in English. There is no length limit; some are short, some are long. It simply needs to cover the following aspects and be approved. This list is from the Individual Project Plan form
Project desscription
Add on separate page, the plan should include the following headings:
Background short description of scientific background
Aim and/or hypothesis
Methods planned experimental set-up including statistics if relevant for the project
Budget estimates costs of the project
Time plan rough sketch for the entire project, including all stages of the experimental work, analysis, writing and preparing oral presentation. Add preliminary dates for examination (oral and written). Also add deadlines for getting feedback from your supervisor, and how you will keep in contact
6. A completed risk assessment form. This should list the risks involved in any lab or field aspect of the project. Risk assessment mall GEO 2019-11.docx. An example risk assessment is i n Filer.
