THE CONTEXT
This course will guide you to focus on your studio work - to create an in-depth insight into your own working methods and artistic choices, while reflecting your artistic positions through the lens of material culture and writing practices. The course is guided by Prof.Yuka Oyama, Ben Lignel, Dr.Adriana Munos, and Dr.Staffan Appelgren.

Yuka will conduct classroom activities that introduce material culture, "Object Stories – Introduction to Material Culture for MA1 in Craft". Ben Lignel will lead two workshops entitled "this is what I do / this is what you do", where he tutors how to write artistic statement and reviews of other artists’ artworks.
