Degree project (15.0 hec)

You continue your independent artistic project based on the project plan you presented during the course Master's Degree Project in Craft 1.

The implementation of your idea as well as your investigation of processes, materials and methods is in focus. You develop new and individual expressions in ceramic art, jewellery art or textile art. At the examination of the degree project you are expected to present a completed art work.

The examination of Degree project is carried out in a seminar closed to the public, with the student, examiner, professor and opponent. If a completion is requested - the completion will be examined at a later set date with the professor, examiner and student present. 

Degree Report 7,5 hec 

You will write a report that describes your individual artistic degree project. In the report you present the background and the context for the work. In a reflective text you describe your working process and the choices concerning methods, material, visual and spatial solutions and the conclusions you’ve made during the work. You will also reflect on how your artistic work relates to the field of craft or/and to other artistic practices.

Your report will be sent to the opponents as a basis for the examination. The aim with the report is to prepare the opponents for the examination of your artistic work / degree project. 

The degree report will be examined in a separate report seminar.

Communication, Profiling, Identity (7,5 hec)

 You identify and evaluate possible future contexts to work within and develops forms for profiling your artistic work. This forms the basis for planning of how the degree project shall be displayed and communicated in a public context. Within the framework of a degree exhibition, you present your degree project with descriptive texts and visual material.
