Exam, 1st of Novemeber 8:30-14:30

The exam will take place at exam halls located at the Chalmers architecture building (Sven Hultins gata 6). More precisely the exams will take place in hall SB-L200 and SB-L300 Please consult attached maps (file names Map1 and Map2). It is a long exam, so please bring drink and some food.

Students are divided into exam-rooms by their sir-name:

Students with sir-names A to K go to room SB-L200

Students with sir-names M to Ö go to room SB-L300

Students who have not signed up, go to room SB-L300 and will get a code upon arrival.

 

Do not forget valid ID (passport, Swedish ID-card or Swedish driver´s licence)

Welcome to the course KEM815 Advanced Organic Chemistry autumn 2021!

The 30th of August 2021 KEM815 will begin at 9 AM with a mandatory roll call. As a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the roll call as well as all lectures will take place on Zoom (see below for more information). It is important that you can attend the roll call since information regarding how the course will be organized under the present situation will be provided. Please, consult the preliminary course schedule prior to the roll call. We will follow the same arrangement as of previous years with the only change involves using the communication platform Zoom instead of meeting in person. Thus, for you to be able to follow the course, you have to have a computer with both audio and video, and a good Internet connection. We will also have a seminar and problem solving sessions that also will be conducted via Zoom, however some of these elements might take place on campus later on in the course. The mandatory practical lab course WILL take place on campus.

For joining the roll call using Zoom You will be invited via email ca 0.5-1 hour before the roll call starts. You will also have access to the Zoom link here on Canvas. Simply press “Launch Zoom” and press “Join without video” followed by the “Join with computer audio”. Turn off the Audio immediately by pressing “Mute” (bottom left). Wait for further instructions.

The self-registration will open on Ladok in the student portal one week prior to course starts. We will make sure that all students attending the roll call will be registered on the course.

Written exam

The course will end with an written exam, signing up for the exam is mandatory and you should be able to sign up on the student portal-ladok with deadline 10 days before the exam date.

Not passing the course

Labs can usually be taken next year the course runs, not passed lab reports can also be handed in the year after.

Re-exams ar organized in january (2-4 usually) and in mid-august . Final date is announced  via the student portal - ladok.

If you want to retake any part af the course (lab or exam) ask to be be re-registered (studieadmkemi@cmb.gu.se)
