Course syllabus

Welcome to EU2131 Central and Eastern Europe: fully European or the European other?, 15 credits, Autumn 2021!

This is a semi-elective course on Master's Programme in European Studies, and is also a freestanding course. The course runs between the 30st of August  and the 2nd of November.

The course introduction takes place on the 30th of August 11:15-12:00 on Zoom https://gu-se.zoom.us/j/69988493222?pwd=dlA1S3BVYWVwWWJ1bmp4ZGJ0VWtlZz09

Campus studies and online studies

At this course, all teaching sessions except for the seminars on the 29th of October will be held online. The reason why we must combine campus teaching with online studies during the first half of this autumn is that under current rules, there are restrictions on how many people can stay in our premises in order to keep social distancing. All departments at the Faculty of Social Science have to share the limited number of suitable lecture rooms.

On the occasion when we offer campus teaching on the 29th of October, we will ensure that the education is carried out as safely as possible. For students that are not affected by travel restrictions and are able to come to Gothenburg: if you do not participate at the seminar, you have to submit re-takes for attendance. For students that are unable to come to Gothenburg due to travel restrictions: you can participate at the seminar online. You will get more information about this in August.

Unfortunately, at the moment we have no definite information regarding the forms of teaching for the subsequent courses. However, the plan is that we will return to campus-based teaching with a full capacity from 2 November, if the corona situation allows it.
