Message from the course coordinator:
Welcome!
Hello all and welcome to Thematic Issues in Global Studies. We are really looking forward to the course this year and to teaching in person again! You can find the schedule via the link below. Upcoming lectures and activities are also in the 'Modules' section. If you are interested in learning more about the structure and logistics of the course, you can check out the page Course Content and Structure. There you will find information about the different parts of the course. Also, in the first module you will notice that there is an assignment called Introduce Yourself. There, you can tell us a little bit more about yourself so we can get to know you a bit better!
This course will indeed be mainly held on campus. However, for those who are unable to come to class because of travel restrictions, because they are quarantining, or because of acute health issues, there will be a possibility to see a live stream of the lecture over Zoom. Therefore, there isn't a full hybrid option, but rather a possibility to at least listen in to lectures over Zoom. If you need access to the Zoom stream, please contact one of the course coordinators.
Finally, as a reminder and for the safety of everyone, please remember to stay home if you are feeling ill. Also, if you test positive and have been in class or in contact with other students in the two days prior to experiencing symptoms, you are asked to contact us as course coordinators as well as send a notification to covid@globalstudies.gu.se. If you have any questions about the rules, you can contact us.
Welcome!
Annika & Joe
