The course is given within the the Master's programme in Geography, term 1 or 3 and can also be taken as an elective course.

This year, the course will be given on-campus. With that said, as we are at the end of current covid19 restrictions, our ambitions is to be somewhat flexible this year. Therefore, we have an ambition to provide the lectures (low quality) online as well as in the classroom. Tutorials and computer exercises are designed so that they can be done on UNI-computers as well as personal computers. If you have covid19 related symptoms, stay at home. Course content

The course deals with the theoretical and practical aspects of:

  • 3D GIS 
  • Spatial autocorrelation
  • Network analysis
  • LiDAR data handling for urban applications
  • Sun access analysis
  • Introduction to ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) GIS (Safe FME)

The course comprise of lectures, compulsory exercises and a compulsory project work.

 

 

The schedule is preliminary up to two weeks before the start of the course.
