Course syllabus
Hello all new students!
We will all meet on Zoom, September 20th at 9.00 for the course introduction
Zoom: https://gu-se.zoom.us/j/63116228208
The aim of the course is to develop the ability to see and visualize, through drawing and interaction between drawing and 3-dimensional work, to be able to move between two- and three-dimensional design with preserved content. The aim is also to learn the basics in digital tools and techniques suitable for documenting, visualizing and presenting your work. After the course this knowledge will help the students develop, visualize and present their ideas, visions and designs.
The course consists of two modules: sketch methodology and 3D form theory as well as digital tools and form and composition.
For your first day with Behjat you should prepare as following:
- Prepare to talk about the following for 5–10 minutes.
- Please bring a few (2–3) small objects of your choice to the class.
- Think about how you would like to use the drawing/sketching in relation to your work.
- Have a maximum one-page plan of your ideas including your expectations from the course.
- This could be an idea or a concept that you would like to develop during week 38 in relation / correspond to week 39 with Jeff Kaller.
- Bring few preferred sketches or finished drawings of yours to share with the class.
- Bring any drawing tools that you would like to use.
- Note any artists or artworks that you like, and tell us why?
We are very much looking forward to meeting you all!
Best,
