Welcome to the course

'Towards a new European Prehistory. The third science revolution in archaeology: the impact of ancient DNA and strontium'

 

In the course you will get insight into how specialized science methods - such as ancient DNA and strontium isotope analysis - are changing our ability to interpret and understand the past. We look at societal changes in prehistoric Europe from the time around the introduction of agriculture to the end of the Bronze Age.

The hub for all information and communication is this course homepage in the Canvas learning platform. On this open page you will find basic course information that is accessible to everyone. As a registered student, you will receive access to all existing course content after logging in to the learning platform. Instructions on how to activate your student account at the University of Gothenburg and register for the course will be sent out to all accepted. In the course guide you can find all information about the course as well as information about how you navigate in Canvas.
