- Experiment
The Experiment course is divided into two different stages; Methods and Experiments
In Methods you will learn useful creative methods that will help you observe and discover your areas of interest.
In Experiments you will spend ample time undertaking experiments that are relevant to your individual studio work.
- Influences
In the sub course Influences, you will develop tools to conduct research as part of your creative pursuits. You will analyze your studio experiments and develop in-depth knowledge about your influences.
FOCUS
METHODS
- What do method and methodology mean?
- Open up toolbox of methods: observations from three different angles - sites, people, self
- Contextualization: practicing how to research, read, summarize, verbalize, and discuss
- Documentation: photographing, scanning body, voice and video recordings, writing
EXPERIMENTS
- Setting frameworks for experiments
- Conducting experiments
INFLUENCES
- Finish experiments, analyze and reflect on what you have done
- Understand situatedness of your artistic activity
- Gather influences relevant to your own artistic work
- Writing an annotated bibliography
