Course Syllabus

Welcome to the Unix applied to genomic data  course

The course :

• Is 100% online, no physical presence needed at the university
• Contains a combination of lectures and practical sessions that will introduce you to basic unix commads
• Covers essential concepts in file system and permissions, text edigost, handling files, regular expression, piping, loops, file compression, program installation and bash scripting

You are expected to spend time of your own to complete the assignments (self-studies)

Participants are required to bring their own computer with the corresponding administrator rights

To pass the course you need to attend at least 80% of the session (extra activities can be provided to compensate for missed session) and complete all practicals at the stated deadlines
