Course syllabus

Part-time course, 29 August to 1 November 2022.

The course aims at giving knowledge and understanding about certain aspects of public and behavioral economics. Most teaching material will be contemporary research articles, which makes the course up to date with modern research. Some topics covered during the course will be welfare theory and decision making. Many of these topics are complex and as the course to a large part consists of seminars where students take active part discussing and presenting, they get a good opportunity to analyze and dig deeper into the various aspects of different policy tools. The aim of the course is not to give an overall overview of every aspect of public or behavior economics, but to give deeper insights into the mechanisms in certain areas, which can then be translated to analyzing various complex matters.
