HDK - VALAND
METAL ART
Welcome to Dals Långed and welcome in the HDK-VALAND Campus Steneby Study Environment
Your first semester in the bachelor program at Metal art starts with a roll call on site in Dals Långed monday the 29th of august. After that follows two days of common project at the department, where you will meet with your fellow students. Following week you will get started with an introduction to our workshop and forge, and getting acquainted with the machines. We are looking forward to see you!

Covid-19 Policy
The Public Health Agency of Sweden encourages everyone that experience symptoms of respiratory illness, however mild, to refrain from social contact, which might spread the disease. So be vigilant for symptoms, even mild ones. Stay at home if you are experiencing symptoms of disease.

To prevent the spread of infection:
- Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before eating, handling food, and after restroom visits. If you are not able to wash your hands, hand desinfectant is available at several locations on campus.
- Avoid touching your face if you have unwashed hands.
- Cover your nose and mouth with flexed elbow, or a paper handkerchief, when coughing or sneezing.
- Keep a minimum distance of 1,5m from people in the workshop space.
- Smaller rooms that do not have enough space to keep a safe distance, stay out until you can enter safely.
- After using common tools and machines disinfect all areas you touched.
- In group situations where distancing can not be maintained, we recommend please wear a face nose mask.
- Ventilate small rooms regulary.
- Stay home if you feel ill, after you fell good again, stay for two more days home.

Don´t forget to register for the course i Ladok services. Registration opens one week before the start of course. You must also be registered to be able access all course material published in Canvas.
