Course syllabus

The course DM22PP will host the Design Research Course Fall 2022.

Information about the course is placed in a module in DM6DIS.

This is a shared strand among all three programs. It replaces some of the components of “preparation course” (7.5) until HT24. It will deliver a series of lectures and workshops with a focus on acquiring knowledge about design research methodologies and methods, knowledge perspectives, and formulating relevant research questions. It will further help you to understand the relation between the design experimentations and materialisations conducted in parallel courses and the discussed methods and knowledge perspectives in this strand. The aim is that you will be able to combine learning from this strand and your parallel courses (22.5) to deliver a thesis proposal/project brief following specifications of each program. The deliverable is commented, discussed, and assessed within each specific program. Activities only take place within scheduled activities and students are not required to read literature prior to these activities.
