Registration

Please note that there are a few things to do before the term starts:  

  1. Activate your Student Account
    To be able to register for the course on the web you will need an active student account. Please activate your student account here

  2. Register for the course It is not until you register for the course that you finally accept your place and become a student. The course registration is also a condition for being able to get your GU card and have access to the university’s web services. The registration dates are 16-17th of March. Please register here  

  3. Get your GU card. The GU card is a multi-functional card that serves you as access card, library card and student discount card. You start by ordering your card through the link GU card. Then you go to the nearest Servicecenter, have your picture taken and pick up your GU card.

  4. Apply for special pedagogical support (if needed)
    All students at the University of Gothenburg should have the opportunity and means to complete their studies. For more information, se https://studentportal.gu.se/english/help-and-guidance/disability/
