Information from your teacher

Hi everyone,

Welcome to KHMP20 Craft and the Public, 7.5 Credits.

Course responsible is me,  Åsa Dybwad Norman, senior lecturer at Textile Department.

During this last course of your first MA-year we will go through different aspects of producing a group exhibition, we will learn through making and the course will end with an exhibition at Galleri Box here in Gothenburg. The course starts Tuesday April 25 and I will add more information about the different moduls and schedule in the next upcoming weeks. 

Other teachers/proffesionals you will meet in this course are:

-Maryam Fanni, Doctoral student in Design, HDK-Valand Academy of Art and Design, University of Gothenburg.

-Charlotta Eidenskog, Ceramic artist, and curator who works at Konstepidemin and she a long curatorial experience.

-Khaled ElSamman Ahmed, Coordinator for marketing and public meetings at Gatenhielmska Huset in Gothenburg. Khaled specializes and works with cultural heritage. He holds a master's degree in international heritage management from Durham University in the UK

-Kate Nartker, Textile artist and Fulbright scholar here at HDK Valand during the spring. Kate is also an Assistant Professor of Textile Design at North Carolina State University.

Note that the course schedule is preliminary up to two weeks before the course starts.

Register for your courses

Don´t forget to register for the course i Ladok services.  Registration opens one week before the start of course. You must also be registered to be able access all course material published in Canvas.
