Welcome to the course EN2D03, (Master's Degree Thesis in English Linguistics) 15 hec
This course is designed to equip students with the advanced skills and knowledge required for writing and defending a Master's level thesis in English linguistics. For further information about the course content and learning objectives, please follow the link for the syllabus provided below:
The structure of EN2D03 differs from undergraduate courses you may have experienced. There are two main group gatherings (scheduled meetings) for all EN2D03 students: 1) the introductory meeting and 2) the thesis defense seminar (please refer to TimeEdit for specific dates, times, and locations). In addition to these, there will be a series of supervision meetings (a minimum of four, though additional sessions may be recommended by your supervisor). These meetings correspond to critical milestones in your thesis development, often referred to as 'stations' (for more details, see this link for the spring term, and this link for the fall term). Supervision sessions can be conducted either in groups or individually, with the specific format and scheduling being agreed upon between each student and their supervisor.
