Keep to the groups you have for seminar 2. In this seminar we will explore the seminal work of Frantz Fanon to explore the relevance of his ideas to gender, race and human rights today. During the seminar each group will present the outcome of their discussion. What challenge did they encounter? What differences and similarities are there in their positions? What is the basis of the differences?

Explore these questions: 1. How is Fanon relevant to theorising race and racism today? How does his historical exploration connect to the world economy and to human rights? Discuss Fanon's postion on women and on men - what does his position mean?
