Welcome to the course EU2112 European Heritage and Identity, 10 credits, Autumn 2023!
This is the first course within the Master's programme in European Studies - Social science track and Humanities track, and is also offered as a freestanding course.
Programme introductionIf you are a programme student: The introduction to the Master's Programme in European Studies takes place on Thursday the 24th of August 10:15-12:00 in B210 Sprängkullsgatan 19. The 25th of August there will also be a welcome event for all international students 15:00 in B228. |
Course introduction
The course introduction to EU2112 European Heritage and Identity takes place on Tuesday the 29th of August 10:15-13:00 in B225, Sprängkullsgatan 19. This session also includes the first lecture of the course.
Registration
When you are registered for the course, you will be able to see the full Canvaspage.
For program students and freestanding students: You register yourself online on Ladok between the 21st of August to the 23rd of August. More information about registration can be found here. If you don't have a Swedish personal number, you will be registered on the day of the introduction.
For exchange students: The Course and Programme Administrator will manually register you on the course on the 22nd of August.

Before the course starts: If you want to prepare in advance, it will be useful to refresh your knowledge about European history (especially from the 1800s, and basic knowledge of the EU).
When you are registered and can log in to Canvas, you will have access to files for all the parts of the course. The teachers will upload recommended readings, exercises, lecture slides and other useful documents or material in the modules for each lecture/seminar. You will also need to be registered and logged in to be able to submit your own work in Canvas.

Servicecenter offers service and support to students, visitors and staff at the University of Gothenburg.
