Information from your teacher
Dear new Embedded Design Students (a.k.a. EmDes-ers or EmDes first years).
WELCOME - we look forward to meeting you in the Autumn.
On your first day: 28 Aug 2023 at 10:00-12.00 you start up with a joint introduction for new program students at HDK-Valand in our Baula, straight forward from the main entrance (the HDK building, Kristinelundsgatan 6, 411 37 Göteborg) After the introduction we will meet you at the entrance, look for an "Embedded Design" sign. We will guide you to the Embedded Design Studio on level 5 and then we meet again at 13:00 together with teachers and second year students.
Below you will find more information that you will need to get yourself all signed up and started with everything HDK-Valand - GU which includes getting all signed up for the Student portal, but also to find the schedule in Time Edit*, the course Literature List, and the Course Plan for your first course is also provided in the below information.
*About the schedule: a more elaborate schedule with more details for each activity will be inside Canvas (learning platform) - you will have access to the calendar as soon as you have registered for the course in Ladok (see below for instructions ) and closer to time. The Time Edit schedule (also see below for the link - search Course "EMD11A") is the skeleton of the Canvas Calender - it is basically the overview of the course activities and the room bookings.

Register for your courses
Don´t forget to register for the course i Ladok services. Registration opens one week before the start of course. You must also be registered to be able access all course material published in Canvas.

Once we get going the canvas calendar will be more useful than TimeEdit.
Note that the course schedule is preliminary up to two weeks before the course starts.
