During the week in Bodø from Sunday 10^th late afternoon to Friday 15^th September afternoon, you will be introduced to both research and industry in Northern Norway.

We will visit during two days (Tuesday and Wednesday), various aquaculture sites representing the successive steps of salmon production from brood stock to processing.

On Thursday September 14th, the Faculty of Biosciences and Aquaculture (FBA) of Nord University invites you to a FBA research day, presenting our research by the group leaders in the morning. Industry representatives will also present their activities in the afternoon. After each session, a speed dating will be organised so you will have the possibility to have a first contact with some potential supervisors of your Master thesis. We hope that you will gather ideas on possible areas for your master thesis in Bodø.

More information about this day will be given at the start of the week.

Sunday September 10^thafter arrival to the station or the airport

From the airport or the station to the university where your accommodation is:

Since there is so many different arrival times, we recommend that you take the bus from the train station or airport to the University, where also the student hotel Nordavind is located.

Buss number 1 will take you from the airport to the university
Buss number 1 and 2 will take you from the centrum railway station to the university. The train also stops at Station Mørkved station, which is in walking distance to the university.

The travel planner uses these words:

Bodø stasjon (Bodø) for the train station.
Bodø Lufthavn (Bodø) for the airport
Universitetet (Bodø) for the university

From the bus stop there is just a couple of minutes to the student hotell called Nordavind.

You will most likely stop at either 1 or 2 on the attached map. Make your way to the Student hotel X.

The keys to your room will be placed in the gray box outside the main entrance at Nordavind.

There will be a pouch with your name on it, including the key and room number.
