Course syllabus

The course aims to provide a deeper understanding of the interplay between working conditions, environmental exposures, and individual and public health. The course provides knowledge about chemical, physical, organizational, and psychosocial environmental factors, as well as basic principles for risk assessment, risk management and risk communication. The course also provides knowledge to understand opportunities and barriers for national and international regulations in the field. The course content is relevant for both national and international conditions and the student will have flexibility in directing assignments in line with experience and interest.

Canvas is the platform for your studies, and will be updated and kept as the main source and forum for information throughout your studies, so please keep attention to what's communicated here!

Course structure: MPH233 will run as a campus-based course, with online lectures for guest lecturers. The course will have its main teaching activities every second week. On some occasions, the course will run in parallel with MPH234 (Migration and Health in a social, demographic and political context). Some lectures and learning activities will thus be done jointly.
