The course runs half-time, which means that you are expected to study 20 hours per week, including attending to lectures/seminars, and completing individual and group assignments as part of the course requirements.

Course content

The course focuses on introducing relevant methodological procedures in the field of higher education as an area of research and development. The relevance and possibilities/limitations for research and development of the various approaches will be highlighted. The course aims at developing participants’ understanding of how research problems and development projects can be formulated, planned, carried out and evaluated. The course will address the potentials of qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods for the production and analysis of data.
