Course Syllabus

Welcome to course BIO210 Bioinformatics and Functional Genomics

 

This course aims at providing students with experiences and skills to handle, evaluate and interpret the overwhelming flow of genome sequences and genome-wide functional data. Good experience with the use of databases and bioinformatics tools using the Internet is one major aim. Another focus is on how to functionally characterise genes for which currently there are no functional description by theoretical and experimental approaches. The course will also be an introduction to systems biology.

The course starts 15th of January, 1.15 pm in lecture hall 1411, Medicinaregatan 11. It is important that you can attend the course start, it is at this time you get essential information regarding how the course will be organized. This occasion cannot be retaken.

It is important that you register on the course in Ladok. The self-registration can be done on Ladok in the Student Portal one week prior to course start until 10th of January.
