Welcome to SO30010 (Autumn term 2023) Social work research and the researcher in national and international perspectives

The course focuses on social work research in a national and international context. We will introduce to doctoral studies in social work in Sweden and throughout the course, students will be expected to consider the relationship between course content and activities and their own thesis research. The course covers perspectives and definitions of social work and research areas and research in social work, nationally and internationally. Further, the course includes different aspects of trends and development in social work research nationally and internationally. It includes perspectives of scientific theory, theories, methods and research ethics in social work research nationally and internationally.

N.B. The course will be offered online (Zoom lectures and Canvas as the course platform)

Course Dates: 2023-10-20 to 2024-01-19

Course Start:  20 November kl. 10.00-12.00. (Course introduction and introductory lecture. Note: We will not start at the ”academic quarter”)
