Welcome to the course GVG450 Ore-forming processes, 7,5 hp, Spring 2024
Course material will be uploaded here under 'Moduler'. This will be available for you after your registration is completed and you are logged in at Canvas. Your login is the same as to Studentportalen.
The course covers ore deposit types and the processes shaping them. Swedish case studies are examined in lab and field. Study visits to mines and companies are planned.
The course will encompass project work in groups including components of lab work and field work. Regular meetings discussing theoretical and practical aspects organize and aid project progression.
The course introduction will take place on Friday at 10.00 in Jord. I hope you can all join
This year we will take on a controversial topic. Are all sulfide mineralizations in Bergslagen synvolcanic? Or are there overlooked orogenic sulfide deposits (IOCG)?
