The course “MED563 Clinical Trials in Medicine” is running from  January 20th to June 8th 2025 and is an e-learning course (25% of full time) using University of Gothenburg´s learning management system Canvas. The course is divided into four Themes and a Final Examination.

You will find the course material under each Theme respectively (right now you can only see this page).

You will get access to:

     1) audio files, videos and linked references (they launch directly from the page where you see them)

     2) other material in the form of PDF files (download by clicking on them)

     3) links will be found under each theme and here: "Links to Important Homepages regarding Clinical Trials"

TimeEdit is not used in this course, as the lectures are free to watch whenever you like. Check the course guide for details regarding dates and assignments.

Some important dates for the course: 

  • Theme 1: January 20 until February 9 (3 weeks)
  • Theme 2: February 10 until March 2 (3 weeks)
  • Theme 3: March 3 until April 6 (5 weeks)
  • Theme 4: April 7 until May 18 (6 weeks)

Final oral examination (by Zoom): 22-23 and 26-28 May (the time slots will be published later in the course, your group chose one slot one of these dates: one hour).

You will be asked to sign up for a mandatory chat with me in theme 1! I will have 15 slots. You find the information about this and how to sign up in Canvas in an "Announcement" that I will post on January 20th. (If you want to, you can already now sign through: People>Mandatory chat.)
