Welcome to MK2502 Master's Thesis
in Media- and Communication studies, spring semester 2024.
Welcome to the Master's thesis course! Most activities during the spring will be planned and scheduled by yourself in cooperation with your supervisor.
Nevertheless, a number of activities - both online and at campus -- are offered during the spring. Please note however that the only activity which requires your attendance at campus is the final seminar (see below).

Course guide/Important dates:
16. January 2024, 10 -12, room 219 (Campus only) Introduction: start-up for Thesis semester
Introduction - How to write your Thesis (NH)
February --May
Occasional voluntary Zoom meetings (dates to be announced).
March/April (dates to be announced)
a) How to write a quantitative analysis (AB) (Zoom)
b) How to write a qualitative analysis (MS) (Zoom)
(Optional): Mid-semester seminars: an opportunity to discuss (parts of) your thesis work with fellow students (to be announced)
17 May 2024: Deadline for handing in your thesis for the seminar/exam.
23 and 24 May 2024: Seminars/examinations.
Mid-June 2024: Last date for handing in the final version of your thesis.
August 2024: A second round of seminars -- in case you do not take part in the May exam/seminar -- is planned to take place in the last half of August.

Please note: methods course is a requirement for the thesis!
Keep in mind that an approved social science methods course at advanced level (15 credits) or equivalent knowledge is required to be able to examine your thesis. You therefore need to complete any examinations from the methods course before your thesis seminar.
