Welcome to the course GM0828 Human Resource Management, 7,5 credits, spring 2024!

This is a full-time course that runs from 21 March to 25 April 2024

This course is for you who want to increase your knowledge about the meanings and conditions of both traditional and sustainable Human Resource Management (HRM).

HRM most often refers to activities associated with how work is organized and with how people are employed and managed to do it, and its basic premise is that people are key to organizational success.

This advanced course aims therefor to increase your understanding of main foundations of HRM, and to develop your ability to critically analyse general principles of HRM, and HR strategies - taking into consideration the broader and varying business, social and environmental goals and challenges. These aspects of HRM will be discussed, and critically analysed through the lenses of both traditional and sustainable approaches of managing people with examples from distinctive organizational, industrial, and cultural contexts. Several of these examples will be based on the findings from the faculties previous and/or ongoing research, as well as from our guest-practitioners’ perspectives, based on their long and rich experience of working with HRM.

Very much welcome!
