Information about your course

Dear students,

Welcome to Design Practice in a Public Context (EMD22A)! We will have our course introduction in 501 Målarsalen at 9:00 on Tuesday 26 March.

Please spend some time looking around Canvas before our first meeting. You can check the schedule in TimeEdit with the code EMD22A, but please be aware that the Canvas calendar contains the most up-to-date information and thus will be used as our main schedule interface. 

The course will consist of seminars, lectures/talks, method labs, crit sessions, tutoring, a study visit, and a public event at the Röhsska Museum. You will work in groups on a design project set up in collaboration with a partner organization in the public sector. This year we are working with The University of Gothenburg Centre for Person-centred Care (GPCC) and different departments within the City of Gothenburg, including Demokrati och medborgarservice, Socialförvaltningen Sydväst, and Stadsmiljöförvaltningen.

Further information about project and individual work will be provided during our course introduction.
