Finding your way on the University 

Course introduction: Wednesday, 6 November, 10:15-12:00 in AS room 220 with Fredrik Söderbaum. The first full lecture will be held 13:15-15:00, the same day and in the same seminar room.

Message from the course coordinator:

It is important (and mandatory) to attend the course introduction to understand the purpose of the course, its organization and what is expected of you. 

There is a lot to read during the first half of the course, so plan your readings carefully and accordingly. Note that the reading list has been changed compared to earlier versions of the course. 

You need to take into account that the group work runs throughout more or less the whole course. In particular, both the start-up (11 November) and the group work examination (27 November) are mandatory. There is also a mandatory data set seminar on 15 November. 

For the course schedule, please refer to the information in TimeEdit (see below). The dates and times for the lectures and seminars are NOT added in the Canvas modules/pages to avoid confusion in case of late changes. If I need to make changes to the schedule, I will communicate those via Canvas Announcement and the TimeEdit will be updated as soon as possible by the student administration.  It follows that you should check Announcements before all lectures and seminars if you want to be on the safe side.
