Course description
The course provides an introduction to linguistic data, methods and especially fieldwork.
The fieldwork training includes learning about tools and techniques for eliciting, recording, transcribing, archiving and presenting linguistic material. The tools and techniques we focus on depend on the interests of the students. We will also discuss ethical and practical issues of collecting data and carrying out fieldwork.For more information, please read the Course guide.
We meet on Zoom 2 September (time TBA). Before this session, please read the introductory chapter in Bowern 2015.
