Welcome to the Department of Literature, History of Ideas and Religion!

Welcome to RT2320 Theology and Gender! I’m looking forward to meeting you all for our first seminar on November 5, at 10.15-12.00 where we will introduce ourselves and go over the course overview. Please note that our first meeting will be held online—you can find the Zoom link under the Modules section on Canvas. After this initial session, the course will proceed in a hybrid format.

To prepare for this first week, please complete the following three tasks i the module "Introductory discussion":

1. Introduce yourself! Provide a brief introduction of yourself, please let us know if you prefer English or Swedish as course langauge and if you are planning to study this as an online or campus course.

2. Answer the following question in approximately 200 words: Summarize key insights from the chapters by Stuart, Beattie, and Rogers on the relationship between theology and gender (in Thatcher, Adrian, ed. (2015). The Oxford Handbook of Theology, Sexuality, and Gender. Oxford: Oxford University Press (pp. 18–66).).

3. Respond to a fellow student’s answer to the second question. Choose another student’s response to engage with by adding a comment. Consider what you agree or disagree with, any insights you found helpful, or areas where you would like further clarification. Dialogue is an important aspect of this course, so use this as an opportunity to start a discussion.

All tasks must be completed by midnight on Sunday, November 10, after which the system will close.

Campus students

OBS! INGA Zoom-länkar här, startsidan är offentlig.
