FRAKK1 Class Padlet, 2024.

Information about your course

Hello! FRAKK1 is your first Contextualisation Course which runs in the Fall semester 2024. General information regarding start up week is available on the FRAAP1 (practice course) canvas page.

The course manager and formal examiner of the course is Cathryn Klasto so please contact her about any issues related to the course and/or the exam. You can also contact them by email: cathryn.klasto@gu.se

Gloria López Cleries will also be teaching on the course.

The course aims to introduce you to concepts, theories, and methods of Publicness, as well as help you to develop academic reading and writing skills. At first this course can be unfamiliar and perhaps a little overwhelming, particularly if you do not have a background in academic reading and writing. We understand this and know that is can take time to adjust and learn the skills we are asking from you - all we ask is that you engage and be willing to challenge yourself - and we will be here to support you along the way.

This canvas page primarily uses two tabs out of the left hand tool bar: Modules and Assignments

On the Modules tab, you will see that each week (Sweden often uses week numbers rather than dates!) has its own page, and you can click and see what is happening each week.  This is the most up to date information so always check here first.

The Assignments tab shows the assignments you have to do for the course and how and when you have to submit them.

The Course Evaluations tab is also used at the end of the course where you are asked to fill an anonymous form about your experience of taking the course. This helps us develop it for the next iteration. You will be told when that form is made available to complete.

We look forward to meeting you and working with you!

Cathryn and Gloria
