Course syllabus

Welcome to the course EU2215 Europe in the World, 15 credits, Autumn 2024!

This is a semi-elective course on the Master's Programme in European Studies. It is also offered as a freestanding course.

 

The course introduction will take place 2 September from 10:15 to 12:00, in room A010, and is followed by the first lecture from 13:15-15:00 in the same hall, Sprängkullsgatan 19.

 

Registration

To access all the pages on Canvas, you must be registered for the course.

  • For most students: You register online in Ladok between 26 and 28 August. More information about registration can be found here. (If you do not have a Swedish personal identity number, you need to arrive in Sweden and activate your student account in person at a Servicecenter before you can register.)
  • For Double Degree students and exchange students: The education administrator will manually register you on the course on 26 August.

Once you are registered and can log in to Canvas, you will find files for all the parts of the course under the headline "Modules". The teachers will upload exercises, PowerPoint presentations and other useful documents or material in the modules.

  • Canvas is based on Modules.
  • Once you are registered, you can log in to Canvas and find more information about the course.
  • Canvas is also the place where you submit assignments. There is a folder for each submission.

Plagiarism

Plagiarism means using someone else's work and presenting it as your own without proper references to the author or the source. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and can lead to suspension. It is important that you take part of the information about academic writing and plagiarism, which you can find both in the course guide and through the University Library's digital resources.

 

Servicecenter - Reception for the whole University

  • Servicecenter offers service and support to students, visitors, and staff at the University of Gothenburg. Contact one of our Servicecenters for contact information for departments and study counselling, and general information about the University of Gothenburg. The services for students include academic transcripts and issuing the GU-card.
  • There are several Servicecenters, including one at the same address as the Department of Political Science, Sprängkullsgatan 19.
