Canvas:

This Canvas platform primarily uses two tabs out of the left hand tool bar: Modules and Assignments

Modules has two main functions: firstly, as a weekly calendar that includes info on preparing for those sessions. Its second function is as resources for study such as the page with advice on How to Search for Sources as one example.

On the Modules tab, each week has its own page, and you can click to see what is happening each week. You scroll down to make sure you see the whole of the week's activities. This is the most up-to-date information.

You should also check these well in advance as the majority of advance preparation required for classes is listed on the module page. The modules contain information that you can return to so they also operate as a toolkit.

The Assignments tab shows the assignments you have to do for the course and how and when you have to submit them. You submit written assignments via upload to Canvas.

The Course Evaluations tab is also used at the end of the course where you are asked to fill an anonymous form about your experience of taking the course. This helps us develop it for the next iteration. You will be told when the form is available to complete.

The Announcements tab shows events in or out of the Academy that you may be interested in. If you want to post there then contact: jason.bowman@gu.se.

Student Portal:

In the Student Portal you will find information that is good to know as a new student.
