Welcome to  Forskningsetik inom humaniora/Research Ethics in the Humanities (HUM3106)

HUM 3106 Forskningsetik inom humaniora, 2.5 hp.

Kursens mål är att introducera och diskutera forskningsetiska problem inom humanvetenskaplig forskning, i ett historiskt och teoretiskt perspektiv. Kursen introducerar även gällande lagar och regelverk samt formulerade kriterier för akademisk redlighet. Efter avslutad kurs ska doktoranden ha utvecklat förmåga till etiskt omdöme och reflektion, samt kunna planera för att tillämpa relevanta regler för etikprövning av forskning.

Kursen är obligatorisk för doktorander antagna vid Humanistiska fakulteten från och med 1 januari 2024 eller doktorander som väljer att övergå till en allmän studieplan där kursen ingår som obligatorisk.

 

Kursen växlar föreläsningar, seminarier och gruppövningar på campus. Den ges på svenska och/eller engelska.

Kursen planeras att ges varje hösttermin.

HUM 3106 Research Ethics in the Humanities, 2.5 hp.

The aim of the course is to introduce and discuss research ethics within humanities research, in a historical and theoretical perspective. The course introduces current Swedish laws and regulations as well as criteria for academic integrity. After completing the course, the doctoral student will have developed an ability for ethical judgment and reflection and will be able apply relevant ethical criteria and rules in their research.

The course is compulsory for doctoral students admitted to the Faculty of Humanities as of January 1, 2024 and for doctoral students who switch to a plan where the course is included as compulsory.

 

The course alternates between lectures, seminars, and group exercises on campus. It is given in Swedish and/or English.

The course is planned to be given every autumn semester.
