Quantum Error Correction 2025

The course will run over 7 weeks starting the week of November 3, ending the week of December 15. (With possibly later submissions of hand-ins.) 

Classes are Tuesday afternoons (see schedule). However, the first lecture will be on Thursday November 6th 13.00-14.00 and 15.30-16.30 (online or in place in Stockholm), , jointly with the ENCCS Autumn school on quantum computing.

The set-up will be hybrid, in-person and on-line using Zoom. Students in Gothenburg are encouraged to join in-person. Teaching and examination will consist of lectures, demonstrations or exercise classes, computer lab sessions, hand-ins and student presentations. Reading material (papers and reviews) will be provided in addition to lecture notes summarizing the material.

  • W49 Tuesday 2/12 14.15-16.00 Room: Acceptorn (A604) MC2, Zoom Same as W46. Bosonic codes. Cat codes, rotationally symmetric codes. Contanated codes. Surface codes tailored to bias noise (XZZX, Clifford-deformed codes).  Hardware.
