Course overview
EFI256 Managerial Economics (7.5 credits) covers quantitative methods and models in operations and supply chain management. Operating activities of firms and organisations create value by efficiently transforming inputs into goods and services. The emphasis is on forecasting methods, linear programming, capacity planning, quality management, project management, timetabling, inventory management, and general production planning.

Course details
EFI256 Managerial Economics (7.5 credits) is included in the fifth semester of the Bachelor’s Programme in Business and Economics for students majoring in financial economics. The course is also open to visting exchange students.
Course dates: 1 October - 3 November (quarter 2). Course registration in Ladok opens on 24 September.

Assessment
The intended learning outcomes of the course are assessed through an individual written exam and a case assignment.
