On Saturday 2 July 2022 the artist Aladdin Mofakheri hosted - in his studio and in his summer house - a meeting of Paul Butler, Andreas Engman, Hadi Irandoost, Annie Johansson, Masuod Yousefi, and Mick Wilson to discuss ideas for the OPEN UP Gothenburg exhibition in September/ October 2022 at Temporary StabilisationsLinks to an external site., Gamlastan, Gothenburg.

In the meeting - eating a wonderful lunch of fried fresh fish, potatoes, salad, and the ripest watermelon - we discussed the different practices of those gathered. These artistic practices included acting, animation, creative writing, drawing, film-making, illustration, painting, performance, sculpture, textile fabrication, and much more.

The next steps in the process will be for one-to-one planning meetings with the exhibitors to discuss (i) what will be exhibited (ii) how the material will be framed and contextualized and (iii) how the residency in July / August at Temporary StabilisationsLinks to an external site., Gamlastan, Gothenburg will function.
